2026-27 Owner’s Meeting

Hi E3 Owner!

If you’ve found your way to this page, this is confidential business info for our upcoming Owner’s Meeting.

The Owner’s Meeting is June 28th at 10am. This is an opportunity to faithfully vote for Wise Council and the budget attached below. This meeting is not a “open debate”, which seeds dissention, doubt or worry in our community…along with tarnishing reputations of Owners in our Centered Set. We will vote by written ballot and announce the results the same day.

WISE COUNCIL:

6/8/26

Owners of Element3,

The purpose of Wise Council is to share wisdom with the staff, encourage the congregation, and help steer the direction of the pastoral staff as we continue to do ministry. They are not the drivers—they are the curb, the speed bump, the guides on our journey.  The Wise Council is not a non-profit board, but rather a Spirit-driven group of people who oversee lots of large details, allowing volunteer leaders and staff to take care of the finer details and larger overall ministry.  From Pastor Scott’s perspective, this year’s Wise Council has been prolific with prayer in particular.

Wise council candidates are nominated by owners, prayed over, discussed, and then interviewed over several attempts. They are then presented as candidates for owners to either affirm or not affirm at our annual business meeting.

In our Centered Set Church, Wise council is not a representative style of government like the Congress for our country, but it strives to be inclusive and diverse of several candidates.  Numerous candidates are told “not yet” each year.

This year’s term limits end:

Meredith Fishback (class of ’23)

Sarah O’Dell (class of ’23)

Liz Ross (class of ’23)

These three women have done a phenomenal job leading through selling property, rewriting bylaws, and bringing several elements of a church moving from post-pandemic re-plant to a more sustained church with systems, policies, and procedures.

We had numerous amazing applicants and nominations this round of Wise Council from our owners.  Several nominees declined after prayer and reflection.  All candidates were considered and will hopefully apply again in the years to come.  Pastor Scott removes himself from interviews to ensure that these people are not “hand-selected” and would be willing to stand up to him or any pastor on staff at Element3 if the situation required.  After numerous meetings, interviews, and prayer, our current Wise Council is proposing affirmation of the following, taking into consideration Spiritual Gifts, talents, callings, abilities, and specifically term limits:

Travis Cone (4 year term)

Charla Lucas (4 year term)

Meredith Fishback (extending her term by one year)

Please reach out to any of the Wise Council members individually, or as a group at wisecouncil@element3.org, specifically if there is an issue with any of our candidates.

Blessings,

Pastor Scott

Sarah O’Dell (VP)

Liz Ross (Secretary)

Meredith Fishback

Larry Coffee (’25 class)

Charlene Henry (’25 class)

SERVE TALLAHASSEE:

The pastoral staff and Wise Council have spent much time deliberating about a move of Serve Tallahassee from its current location (1184 #C) to the “Storage Bay” (1190 #C). Our current lease ends in November with free rent and we would like to rehab the existing bay to expand with a larger footprint and better strategy the Serve Tallahassee space.

This will be a NEW designated fund to donate to from July 1, 2026 to November 30, 2026. The total cost (outlined below) is estimated to be $60,000. If we do not reach that $60,000, we would like ownership to allow to use the $518,000 we have currently invested in mutual funds in order to assure funding for a project such as this.

Estimates:

Construction: $29,750
A/C and Heat: $11,000
Electrical: $2,500
Permitting and potential other unknowns: $10,000
