VALUES are guardrails for life together that reflect God’s character, emerge from the movement of the Holy Spirit, & should inform how we seek to accomplish our mission together. They are the how of life in community that is inseparable from our belief in Christ’s story.

When the Holy Spirit is moving in & among us, we embrace a life of perpetual growth

Leave Only Footprints

Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Genesis 1:26 (NIV)

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

To be made in the Image of God implies that we are created & designed for a purpose – to reflect & mirror God’s character, attributes, & purposes in the world.

1 Corinthians 15:49 (NIV)

49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we[a] bear the image of the heavenly man.

Colossians 3:8-10 (NIV)

But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Romans 8:29 (NIV)

29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

A life of perpetual growth means that we…

  • Seek transformation in both the exciting & in the mundane spaces of our daily lives.
  • Approach growth as a lifelong journey, not a peak or destination.
  • Recognize that our failure to pursue constant growth costs us & others.
