“Worship” can be defined simply as our response to who God is and the things that He has done for us. God acts according to who He is, and we respond to it. E3 is indeed a worshiping community, but we also believe that “worship” doesn’t only mean “music.” Scripture tells us that anything we do can done for God’s glory (Colossian 3:16 – 17), and that God recognizes excellence in craftsmanship and effort (Exodus 36:1).
That being said, E3 recognizes that specific gifts are necessary for our communal expression of worship, and that’s where the “Worship” ministry fits in.
A critical component of worship at E3 is the Worship Arts Team. These technical teams—audio, graphics/video, and lighting—enable E3 to weekly “tell the story” of Jesus’ good news, and allow people to see and hear the message that God has entrusted to us.
The Musical Worship Team is charged with providing a compelling musical atmosphere for people to meet with God. Each week, we meet to rehearse and prepare—artistically as well as spiritually—for Sunday’s gatherings, and then serve our friends and our community by leading them into God’s presence.
